With his friends Huck and Joe Tom decides to leave the Missisipi's shore and lives without adults.They spend their days playing and having fun away from the adult world.After a big rain they decides to return to home. In that day their relatives are celebrating their funerals and when the boys return at their house arouse the wrath of their parents. The adventures of Tom continue and the book ends with the discovery of a great treasure.

Personal comment: It's famous and lovely book.In the Tom's characters there is a great sense of rebellion,he seems like a bad boy but he just wants to assert his freedom;this sense of freedom moves the reader to fall in love with the story.
